CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

All- Levels Vinyasa:

Vinyasa flow is an experience of breath and movement. This class is an energetic form of meditation in motion, connecting our intentional breath to each movement. We discover various asana postures and continuous movement to channel energy throughout our entire body. Vinyasa flow is for all levels and variations/ modifications will be offered. Vinyasa flow, although at time can be rigorous, we put a strong emphasis of the human body, explaining anatomy and breaking down poses so each student can safely feel and understands what is happening throughout their practice.

Slow Flow Yoga:

This intentional class has its roots in vinyasa, connecting breath with movement, but will spend a bit more time moving along the transistions. This class is the perfect moving meditation. This class will vary week to week depending on what the teacher feels and what the class needs. Props will be used, assists will be offered. open to all levels.

Yin & Restorative:

In this class you can expect to enter the sweetest form of relaxation. Moving slowly own on the mat, holding postures to release the deep-rooted stagnation, getting into the fascial layer to break muscle tension and quiet the mind. Props are used, hands on assists are offered. This is a great class for the beginner and the season yogi.

Pre/Post Natal Yoga: Yoga for the Natal Year

Yoga for the Natal Year is designed to support individuals in any stage of their natal experience. We have participants seeking to get pregnant, many in their first, second and third trimesters of pregnancy, and others who are anywhere from 3 weeks to 12 months postpartum. Womxn come to Yoga for the Natal Year for many reasons: safe and effective exercise, relief from the symptoms of pregnancy, relaxation, preparation for childbirth and mothering, recovery from birth, a chance to build community with other mothers, and the opportunity to share womxns’ wisdom in a low-key, light, and informative manner. These classes draw a warm, lovely, funny, intelligent, and supportive group who have positive birth and recovery experiences.
